Chakotay extended his open hand towards her and she reluctantly placed hers on top of it. He pulled her close, placed one hand on her lower back, and laid the other on the side of her neck, his thumb gently caressing her cheek.

He growled slightly as he grabbed hold of her hips and pressed himself against her even more. “Is that a challenge, Kathryn?”

The wedding day flew by quickly, but Kathryn relished every moment. At one point, Phoebe cornered her about her obvious anxiety, but Kathryn managed to convince her that it was because of the suddenness of the wedding without giving away that she was eager to be alone with Chakotay. The ceremony was beautiful, Chakotay was gorgeous in his tuxedo, and everything was perfect. Kathryn couldn’t have imagined a more memorable wedding day.

He shrugged. “I’ll gladly take the credit for this. It’s ingenious. I asked Tom to find somewhere remote, and I get the feeling that he’s filled that request more than adequately.” With his arm around her waist, they moved to the windows. They were definitely in a house that appeared to be the only dwelling for miles. Perched high on the dunes, it afforded magnificent views of the coastline in both directions. The sun was setting over the sea, so they were on the west coast of somewhere. However, where this somewhere was, neither of them cared.

Kathryn woke slowly the next morning, stretching in the warm sunlight like a sleepy, lazy cat. She turned over and snuggled up on Chakotay’s chest.

They took off their shoes and walked in silence for awhile as the sun set, Kathryn's sheer dress fluttering in the gentle breeze as they stopped every so often to kiss and look out over the ocean.
