He walked into her quarters and found her watching the stars, her sadness and despair filling the room with heaviness. The promise of home ripped away from them yet again.
It was , He paused. too good to be true.
I know.
He pulled her back into his warm embrace. Are you okay?
She nestled back into his comforting arms. I will be.
Silence wrapped itself around them until she spoke the words of her lonely heart. I was hoping it meant I could finally be with you.
He placed a gentle kiss on top of her head. I know.
